Henry (aka Harry?) George Revington was the youngest of 10 children born to to Joseph ('Little Joe') Revington (b 1823, Tralee) and Georgina Martha Revington (were they cousins?) (b. 1835 Limerick?).

He was a good sportsman and played rugby (Tralee Rugby Club, established 1882) and was apparently was a good runner as well (Tralee Harriers). Henry travelled to South Africa and fought in the Boer War of 1899-1902 in the Imperial Light Infantry: 'REVINGTON Henry George Pte 502' (https://www.angloboerwar.com/unit-information/south-african-units/344-i…  - accessed in Nov 2022).
