Male
Place of migration
Migrated to/Born in USA

Emigrated to New York City ~1854 with his wife, Johannah Lynch (maiden name: Lynch) and went to England, where his wife gave birth to his son, Thomas, in 1854, they returned to NYC in time for the 1855 New York census, where they lived next to his parents, Thomas and Nora (Lehane) Lynch. They all returned to Ireland, where Jeremiah's wife gave birth to their daughter Johannah in Apr-1860 and all 6 emigrated together to NYC on shop Chancellor. The next 10 years are a blur and I don't know where they were. I suspect Jeremiah fought in the Civil War, but there were more than one Jeremiah/Johannah Lynch couple, so it is hard to know. I suspect Jeremiah's parents died somewhere on the East Coast. By 1870, Jeremiah and his wife Johannah and daughter Johannah were living in San Francisco, CA. His son Thomas got married in 1875 on Staten Island and his parents and sister were there for the wedding. Thomas and his wife and Jeremiah and Johannah Sr and Johannah Jr returned to San Francisco by 1877.
