William Matthews born 18 May 1823 in County Down and died 9 April 1861 in Australia Maried to Mary Cronin born 1821 in Limerick. Would have been my great great granparents on my maternal lineage. Hugh and William Matthews, and Mary Matthews, born Cronin, arrived in Sydney, Australia, on the Garrow in 1839, and their brother Andrew Matthews followed a few years later.

His parents were William Matthews born 24 June 1796, in County Down and Margaret Finlay, born December 1796 in County Down, both died in about 1839 in Melbourne Australia.

Margaret Finlay was the daughter of Hugh Finlay and Anne Nelson of County Down.

I am looking for any information, ancestors, and photographs, if possible, about any or all of the above. I have information about William, born 1823, and something about his siblings, but nothing more than what I have given above, of any of the above.
