Thomas Ryan Murphy, 1818 – 1894, was the second son of Bridget Ryan and John Murphy. We know that he married Alice Reardon, 1839 – 1909. A third brother come to Indiana who was Cornelius. Thomas and Alice had 11 children, two sons and 9 daughters. He owned a farm in Barr Township, which is in the northeast corner of Daviess County, Indiana. The largest city near our farm is Loogootee, Indiana.
