My great grandfather Patrick, after whom I was named, was born March 16, 1866. He emergrated to New York with three of his brothers around 1890. Along with his brothers, he was employed in a prominent department store in Brooklyn working in the delivery stables unitl the store changed over to motorized deliver trucks. He passed away in March 1932.
Co. Louth, or Lú in Irish, is located in the north-east of Ireland. It is known as “The Wee County” because it is the smallest county in Ireland. We are home to Brù Na Bóinne (Palace of the Boyne) which is an internationally important complex of Neolithic chamber tombs. We have a population of approximately 122,897. We look forward to helping you connect with your ancestors’ place of origin.
