I am researching my wife's ancestor, James Malone.

We believe he was born circa 1775 at Limerick, however, have been unable to locate any birth record via Ancestry or Family Search.

He was convicted in 1802 at Limerick Court House (crime unknown) and sentenced to 7 years transportation to Australia.

He departed from Cork in 1805 aboard "Tellicherry" and arrived in Sydney, Australia in February, 1806.

Have asked for the court record from Limerick Court House but was advised their records don't go back that far and was referred to Irish archives office. Have been unable to get any information from Irish archives office.

Any information and/or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
