Anthony had a son, James, born August 1, 1844. I believe he had a daugther, Mary, born in 1846.I have no confirmation on a wife until much later.

Anthony left Ireland with his family, between 1846 and 1855. They landed in Boston according to family info. They made their way to Cincinnati, Ohio where 3 more children were born...Thomas in 1856, Ann in 1857.

The family moved to Quebec in Canada (1859?). There is now mention of a wife, Margaret Gillespie. My granduncle, John, son of James Cafferty and Catherine O'Reilly, suggests that Margaret Gillespie was born in Ireland. Anthony was given 100 acres to farm and by 1861 had built a log home for the family and it still exists today, owned by the province of Quebec (NCC). John was born in 1859, Mary Ellen was born August 8, 1861. I found a marriage bann from March 8, 1863 for him and Margaret (born in 1825). Next daugther born was Elizabeth on February 25, 1866. Next was Margaret on May 10, 1867? and finally Sarah, born in 1868. Mary passed away in 1871 and daugther Margaret passed away in 1876.

Margaret Gillespie passed on March 11, 1904 and Anthony died the next year on September 3rd. They were buried at St Stephen's Church in Chelsea, QC.
