/Mary Sloane married John McNeely c1826 in Ireland, probably County Down.  Their first child was born in Bytown, today's Ottawa, Ontario, on April 23, 1829. Because of the naming of their second and third child, it is possible that Mary's father's name was John Sloane and that her mother's first name was Mary.
