John Reddin and Bridget Mackay married in Abington, Tipperary on 23 February 1841 and shortly afterwards emigrated to Melbourne, Australia. John was initially employed as a stone mason and later established himself as the Publican of the "Limerick Hotel" in Melbourne. They had 8 children - all born in Melbourne.
