I am a descendant of at lease 4 generations of George Smiths. I believe that George Morris Smith is my 2nd great-grandfather. I have been searching through Ancestry sources for his Irish origins for the past 7 months. Although I have been frustrated at times with inconsistent or "about" dates and transcription errors from microfilm records, I am confident with this match.
