Benjamin Watson Sr. emigrated to Canada in early 1850s. Two of his sons, Jonathan and Joseph, had emigrated previously. Jonathan was married in Delgany Parish. Benjamin Sr. came to Canada with the remainder of his family. They had been farm workers at Woodstock, the demesne of the Bishop of Clogher. Looking for ancestors and current relatives.
Hi,
Thanks for your message.
Once again the best records for you to look in to are probably Church records-for both ancestors and descendants. The civil parish of Delgany is actually in the RC parish of Kilquade. To see what records are available for Kilquade follow this link:
I gave you links in my reponse to your previous message for Church of Ireland records, land records and census records. These and the list of other websites I gave you in relation to your query on the Burns family, will all be relevant to your search for the Watsons too.
One other website where you may be able to post a reaching out message in addition to the ones I gave you previously is the Parish of KIlquade website: http://www.kilquadeparish.com/index.htm
Remember to post as much information as you can with regard to the people you are researching. The more information you post, the more likely it is that one of our volunteers will be able to advise or assist you.
Kind regards,
