Bridget Murphy married JFK's grand father

WexfordClongeen (Wexford)Whitechurch (Wexford)

Family lore has it that our James A Murphy was the brother of Bridget Murphy who married into the famous Kennedy clan and that the Murphy's hailed from Clongeen.  If anyone is researching the Murphy's or the Kennedy's and can compare notes on the subject,  I'd love to hear from you.  Also interested in all things Clongeen.  Our James married a Whelan,  so we'd love to make a connection there as well.   Slan,  Michael in Kentucky

Hi Michael,

Thank you very much for your message. I hope that someone researching the same family contacts you-it would be great to be able to confirm a connection such as this!

Please be patient - as our programme has only begun to rollout across the island of Ireland and volunteers in some areas may not yet be organized.

Kind regards,
