Hello Ken,
Based on your attachment, "Kilmore, Co., Wexford, Ireland, July 24th, 1914," I found that the surnames of Wickham and Doyle were recorded in Sparrowsland in an Irish property tax record called Griffiths Valuation.
At the time of Griffiths Valuation for Sparrowsland, Civil Parish of Kilcowanmore, John Doyle, John Wickham, and Laurence Wickham, all leased property from an Immediate Lessor named Harry Alcock.
An example of one of the transcription entries for John Wickham is below, which shows the printing date for Sparrowsland was 1853, though the men who tabulated the valuation may have been in Sparrowsland the year before:

Attached to this reply is a copy of the original Griffiths Valuation page for Sparrowsland, which shows that John Doyle and John Wickham each leased houses, offices and land from Hary Alcock, while Laurence Wickham leased a house, office, a garden, and land from Harry Alcock.
To the left of each of their names you see number/letter combinations. These are map coordinates on a Griffiths Valuation Map of Sparrowsland, which shows that John Doyle's lease was at Map Reference 5.
John Wickham's lease was at Map Reference 6, subdivision a; and Laurence Wickham's lease at Map 6, subdivision b; and also at Map Reference 7.
The Griffiths Valuation Map for Sparrowsland is also attached to this reply.
The red arrow points to John Doyle's lease at Map reference 5.
One of the two green arrows points to John and Laurence Wickham's lease at Map Reference 6, while the other arrow points to Laurence’s additional lease at Map Reference 7.
Running between Map Reference 6 and Map Reference 7 was the Waterford, New Ross, and Wexford Junction Railway. I believe the tracks for the railway were torn up in the 1960s, though the path the rails sat on may still be visible.
The blue arrow on the Griffiths Valuation Map shows the location of the Sparrowsland Station, which appears to be a private residence along the Carrigunane Road, as you can see in this modern Google Map: https://tinyurl.com/9fffrst2
This Google Street View closeup shows the house is called the “Railway House:” https://tinyurl.com/mrrarhrn
It’s possible the your ancestors began their journey out of Ireland in the 19th century at the Railway House.
See the Facebook video, "Sparrowsland to Macmine 1966" at the following link for a train running along the rails at Sparrowsland:

Before you leave for Ireland this fall, I recommend you fill out a Meet and Greet form available at the Ireland Reaching Out website link: https://irelandxo.com/meet-and-greet
You submit the Meet and Greet form to see if a volunteer is available during the time period you are in the Sparrowsland/Kellystown areas, to guide you through both townlands.
A local volunteer guide may provide you with information about Sparrowsland and Kellystown that you would not otherwise be unaware of.
For example, someone with knowledge about Sparrowsland may know how to find the locations, or approximate locations of Griffiths Map references 5, 6, and 7, where the Doyle and Wickham leases were situated.
The volunteer may also know if there is a pathway where the rail line was located in Sparrowsland.
Make sure you bring a copy of the Griffiths Valuation Map of Sparrowsland with you when you go to Ireland.
Expanding the search in Griffiths Valuation, I found the surnames Doyle, Whelan, and Gorman recorded in the townland of Kellystown, Civil Parish of Adamstown. See the attachment.
Whelans and Gormans were not only Occupiers who leased houses, offices, and land, but also Immediate Lessors who either owned the property or worked as middlemen for the owner overseeing the property.
The first person recorded on the page for Kellystown is Anthony Doyle, at Map Reference 2. He leased a little over 2 acres of land from William R. Webb.
A copy of the Griffiths Valuation Map for Kellystown is attached to this reply. Anthony Doyle's lease of over 2 acres of land at Map Reference, 2 is indicated by the green arrow.
This Google Map shows that Kellytown is 2.5 miles west of Sparrowsland by the shortest route: https://tinyurl.com/4nku8wtm
The location of Sparrowsland on the Google Map is indicated by the red teardrop icon.

SPARROWSLAND THE TITHE APPLOTMENT BOOKS
I next wanted to see if any Wickhams, Doyles, and Whelans were recorded in Sparrowsland in an Irish Agricultural land record called the Tithe Applotment Books, which were compiled in the 32 counties of Ireland from 1823 to 1837.
The Tithe Applotment Books were referenced by MaryTV in her reply of 8 April 2026.
The tithe books for Sparrowsland and Kellystown were recorded in 1834, 19 years before Griffiths Valuation, and 80 years before the 1914 document that you attached to your query at Ireland Reaching Out on 6 April 2026.
For a comprehensive explanation of the Tithe Applotment Books, and to search the Tithe Applotment Books, go to the National Archives of Ireland website link at:
https://titheapplotmentbooks.nationalarchives.ie/search/tab/home.jsp
A two-page index of the Tithe Applotment Books shows that the surnames Whelan, Doyle, and Wickham were recorded in Sparrowsland in 1834: https://tinyurl.com/3rfhkbbf

"KELLYS TOWN" IN THE TITHE APPLOTENT BOOKS
The following link will bring you to a two-page index for the "Gormian," Whelan, and Doyle surnames in "Kellys Town:" https://tinyurl.com/3n9bj9nh
Gormian is an alternate spelling for Gorman and O’Gorman.
The Tithe Applotment Books entries for Kellys Town were recorded on two pages. The first page can be accessed at: https://tinyurl.com/bd4urdtj
You'll have to scroll down the page until you come to the names of farmers in Kellys Town.
The second Tithe Applotment Books page for Kellys Town can be viewed at: https://tinyurl.com/bdfu938u
Also at the National Archives of Ireland website, I located the family of Thomas and Anne Wickham in the 1901 and 1911 Ireland census enumerations for Sparrowsland, which I can send to you in a follow-up reply if you request them.
Kind Regards,
Dave Boylan
