Wexford to texas via Corpus Christy to join a nunnery? Any information

was my grandmother able to come to America, passage paid by Nuns so she could join the order in TEXAS? Anyone familiar with this type of story?

If you know the name of the order, you might contact them. Religious orders usually have detailed records--and archivists. Good luck.

Hi Kathleen,
I do know of two other girls from Couny Wexford who travelled to Texas in 1909 on board a ship called the 'Irak'. They joined an order called the Incarnate Word in San Antonia, Texas. Does this tie in with your grandmother's time line?
