Searching for parents of Patrick Murphy b 1846 Wexford, father Martin also looking for Pat's death

Wexford

Patrick Murphy b 1846
Joined RIC 1866 age 20 , from Wexford, Roman Cathholic, resigned sept 1871. Married Johanna Cranley Aug 1871 in Tipperary. Ric # 31711.
I then think he joined the Londen Metro Police nov, 1871.Then joined dmp #7736 june 1873, resigned 1875.
Children were
Patrick born in Tipperary at Johannas father's home 1872, father listed in London
Annie b 1874 Dublin father listed as police constable
Martin Daniel b 1875 Dublin father policeman
Thomas b 1877 Dublin
James b 1878 Tipperary father listed in Donnetbrook Co Dublin Subcontable metro police
Then I have a record for a boy, no name on record for April 1881 Tipperary
Father listed as Constable Metropolitan Police.
I had son John Murphy as being born 1885, no birth or baptismal record found, possible that he is the one in 1881, but the age would be different on his war record and the 1901 Tipperary census.
I looked again in the London Metro police files in the joiners for Pat and also searched the deaths from there, with no luck. He is still listed as a policeman in 1881 but resigned from the dmp in 1875, so it doesn't make sense.
He must have died between 1881 and 1885. His wife is remarried to Edmond Portly and giving birth to twins in Ballarat, Victoria, in July 1886.
She had several more children with Edmond, and she passed away in 1894. I have not found her passage to Australia, nor marriage to Edmond, but I know that Patrick and Annie, just 2 children went with her. Thomas and Daniel stayed with Johannas mothers family and James and John ,I believe stayed with the mothers fathers family, The Cranleys. Thomas stated in Ireland, Daniel went to the U.S, James went to Australia. John went to Australia and joined the Royal Australian forces during ww1 and was killed in action in 1916.
I can't seem to pinpoint who Patrick's parents were. His father was Martin, deceased on Pat's marriage record in 1871. I found one that looked correct with mother as Aly Kirwan, but as I followed that line, that Martin was alive past 1871.
Any and all help would be appreciated, to find parents for Patrick or his siblings, and his death.
Thank you

Kathleen

Thank you for your response. The Martin and Ally is the one that I thought could be his parents, but that Martin lived past 1871 , when Patrick was married. On Pat's marriage certificate it has his father listed as deceased.
Pat was not eligible for a pension from RIC as he left after 5 years.
He is a tough one for sure!

Kathleen, I live in Ireland. I have two Murphy lines in Wexford and a DNA match with descendants of Patrick.  I have a public tree on Ancestry. Maura Murphy
