looking for family O'Leary from Oylegate circa 1920 - 1936

WexfordEnniscorthy (Wexford)

My father Thomas Joseph O'Leary bn 17.02.36 probablyoutof wedlock to...... O'Leary in Oylegate?? who would herself have been bornaround 1920. My father was sent to a childrens home and then taken in by the McDonald family in Enniscorthy. He knows nothing of his birth family, and would like to know more as he approaches his 80th year.

I hope you can shed some light on his background

Joanna:

This is likely the civil birth index record for your father. Normally a birth record would show the names of the parents and where they lived. In your case, likely only the mothers name would be listed.

You can get a copy of this record from the General Register Office for around 4 euros. If you are interested, I can forward instructions for getting a copy of the record.
