I am looking forthe ancestors of Patrick Timmons who emmigrated to Quebec in Canada. He was born in 1826 and died in 1904. He married Ellen O'Doherty (1830-1901) , daughter of James O'Doherty and mother Mary Cahill. Any information would be appreciated.

I had a look but couldn't see a baptism record for a Patrick Timmons in Wexford between 1821 and 1831. There is a marriage record for a Patrick Timmins (perhaps your Patrick's father?) who married an Ellen Blanche on 9th June 1828 in the parish of Graigmanagh, Co. Kilkenny. The couple were both from the townland of Harristown, Co. Kilkenny. Do you think there might be a Kilkenny connection in your family? This couples children were listed as John (baptised on 11th Jan 1829) and James (baptised on 31 Jan 1838) though there may have been others who are not listed for whatever reason or babies who sadly died.

Thank. I have no way odf really knowing. Patrick was from Enniscorthy and Ellen O'Doherty from New Ross.
