Andrew Quin family of Mullingar

Mullingar (Westmeath)

Looking for information on the family of Andrew Quin(n) of Mullingar.  Andrew was born ca 1764 and married an Elizabeth Unk.

They had six children that I know of:

Thomas b. ca 1792 m. Bridget O'Reilly

Patrick b. ca 1803 m. Jane O'Reilly

John b. ca 1804  m. Jane Levy

James b. ca 1806

Ester

Mary

James of 1806 came to Canada about 1830 and is my 2nd great grandfather. I have searched for many years to finally made this DNA connection.  I would love to now find all I can of his siblings, parents et al for our family here in Canada.

Thank you in advance for any help/information you offer.

"Unk" in a record signifies "Unknown."  It's not a surname. Hope this helps.

I assume Andrew Quin was Roman Catholic? The RC records for Mullingar go back to 1741 with some gaps but not in the years you listed. I also do not see a marriage record for Andrew Quin on the subscription site Roots Ireland. This leads me to believe the family was from a nearby parish. Taghmon is a possibility. Taghmon has records back to 1781 but there is a gap from 1791-1808. Do you know if Andrew married a second time? There are two sets of twins in 1809 and 1813 in Taghmon parents were Andrew Quinn and Bridget Gilshenan.  John and Margaret were born in 1809 and Anne and Hester in 1813.

I also located an 1824 death record for an Andrew Quin in Taghmon.
