The RC baptismal records for Ballymore RC parish do not start until September 1824 https://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0909?locale=en which means no baptismal record is available for William if Ballymore was his parish. Civil registration of births did not start until 1864.
The surname is Ireland was usually spelled Geoghegan.
Have you considered a DNA test? Possibly you will have matches on this line who have more information on the family origins.

Hi Adele,
King's Co. (now Co. Offaly) and Co. Westmeath are two separate areas. Any chance you can clarify the address?
Can you let us know the names of his children, in order, and the names of any siblings?
Thank you.
Hi Patricia,
Only information I have is Ballymore King's County, I know he had a brother who moved to New York but no names.
He married Margaret Kirwan in Australia after he was released as he was sent there as a convict while serving in the 15th Hussars.
One son was William Francis who then had a son Francis William (my grandfather)
