Vaughan family in Waterford?
Searching for information regarding the family of Patrick Vaughan, born March, 1849 somewhere in County Waterford. Patrick's parent's names were Patrick Vaughan and Margaret Barry (Berry). Patrick immigrated to America in 1853, as a child. I do not know if he came with his parents or arrived with another family. Patrick eventually settled in Dubuque, Iowa, I have traced him there as early as 1867. In 1872 he married Katherine Meagher. I am having trouble finding any Vaughan's in County Waterford, around the time of Patrick's birth in 1849. Patrick was a miner in Dubuque, working with his father-in-law, Patrick Meagher, who immigrated to the United states around 1835, with his wife Julia. I believe the Vaughanand Meagher familiesmay have know each other in Ireland. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
