Power/McAndrew/Callahan/Flannery

Waterford

Looking for information/resources on my 2x great grandparents: Co. Waterford, do not know the parish name. Annie Power (1859 Waterford-1939 Pennsylvania) maried 1877 to John F. McAndrew (1856-1911). Her parents were John Power and Margaret Callahan. My 3x grandparents Power/Callahan had 2 children that I know of: Mary (1855 Waterford-) and Annie. Both girls immigrated to the U.S., the Scranton, PA area. John McAndrew parent's were Thomas McAndrew and Mary Flannery. I know there are alot of Power(s) in Waterford but was hoping that the surnames Callahan, McAndrew and Flannery would be helpful to finding more information/resources.

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!

I searched on the subscription site Roots Ireland and found the 1853 marriage record for John Power and Margaret Callahan in Portlaw RC parish. Also found baptismal records for Ann and Patrick but no Mary. Here is the link to the parish register  https://registers.nli.ie/parishes/1117  if you want to scan the register. McAndrew is not a Waterford surname and is principally found in Co. Mayo but also good numbers in Dublin, Meath and Northern Ireland counties. I searched for all Ireland on Roots Ireland and did not find a record. I would lean towards Co. Mayo because so many Mayo folks went to the Scranton area.

Let me know if you have questions.
