Hearne - Knockmahon
Waterford
My great-great grandfather was a Peter Hearne from Knockmahon.
What parish does Knockmahon come under for postings?
Thanks

Mike:
My reference book shows two Knockmahons in Co. Waterford. There is a town in Monksland civil parish and a townland of 154 acres in Kilbarrymeaden civil parish. The two parishes (Monksland and Kilbarrymeaden) are side by side on the southern coast of Co. Waterford so it may be one and the same locale. I looked at the 1901 and 1911 census records and at that time Knockmahon was listed in Kilbarrymeaden civil parish.
FYI here is a link to the Knockmahon national school web site http://knockmahonns.wix.com/knockmahon
