My great grandfather, John Keresey, was born in Lismore/County of Waterford on August 15, 1844. He emigrated to the US onDecember 31, 1848. That information is from his passport application I found online. I would like to find more about his ancestors. I don't know what his parents' names were, his siblings, etc. I am assuming he was Catholic.
Can anyone find any information about my Keresey ancestors?

Thanks, but no, my ancestor was 4 years old when he emigrated.
Hi,
I would like to add to this discussion.
I’m looking for more information about my great great grandmother. Eliza Keresey was born in Lismore, Waterford, Ireland in 1837. Her and her two sisters, Ellen and Margaret emigrated to Australia in around 1859.
