Bridget Geary

Kilwatermoy (Waterford)

Greetings! Bridget Geary is my great, great grandmother. She lived in Kilwatermoy, County Waterford and was born circa 1822-24. On February 16, 1847, she married Terrence (Targente) Keely, who was born circa 1821 and was from County Cork. The wedding ceremony was conducted in Bridget Geary's father's house in Kilwatermoy. The priests performing the ceremony were Father Thomas Qualy and Father McKisse. (This information comes from an affidavit which Bridget Geary Keely filed in a US Veterans pension appeal.) I am searching for the following information: the names (and any other information) of Bridget Geary's parents, the names and precise location of Terrence Keely's parents. I also don't know the occupations of any of these folks and whether Terrence and Bridget had siblings. Terrence and Bridget Keely immigrated to the USA sometime between 1847 and 1852, but I don't know the specifics, such as the precise date, the name of the vessel and whether they had their first child with them. Any assistance is greatly appreciated!

Hi,

Searched Ancestry and RootsIreland and have not found any records. Do you have any info about them in America? Sometimes you can find info on death records or census records.

I found this gravesite which suggests Geary were still living in the Kilwatermoy, County Waterford area in 2016. Margaret Cotter Geary (unknown-2016) - Find a Grave Memorial
