Calling all local genealogists. Looking for information about the family of William Billy OConnell who ran the Clashmore Post Office in the 1940s and 1950s. His father Thomas OConnell had previously run it (Billys mother was Annie Carey). Billys brothers were Tommy and Jackie (John). The latter wrote a history of Clashmore in 2003. Thanks.

I checked the 1911 censu for Clashmore and there were no Connells or O'Connells in the town. We do not have any parish liaisons in Co. Waterford. My O'Connells also came from Clashmore and I am trying to build up a database of all Connell/O'Connells from Clashmore/Youghal area and hopefully establish genealogical links. I have William's father as Thomas and grandfather as John (married Alice Curran), great grandfather also John. Is that correct?
