Frances,
Do you have any additional information about William and Robert-how were they related/? did they marry, to whom? did they have children? did they stay in Tyrone?
Regards- Mary
Hello Mary
William was Robert's father.
William married Mary Harman.
Robert married Susan Hoy.
I only have Robert as the child of William and Mary.
Robert and Susan had 11 children between 1855 and 1879, all born in NSW, Australia.
I don't have dates for William's marriage or death. I assume they would be in Ireland. I believe William was born in 1795 but know the place.
Robert was born 1820 in Tyrone. He travelled to Australia in 1841 as an-married bounty immigrant.
Thank you for your interest.
Frances,
There are 78 trees for Robert on Ancestry. Most of them show his parents dying in Illinois, USA. Does this make sense?
I assume you have this information. Maybe this is the townland? Both Willima and Robert were laborers. Family was Presbyterian.

Thank you Mary.
I didn't pursue the American connection on Ancestry because I didn't think it tied in with Australia.
I will investigate further.
Frances
Frances,
Looking at trees on Ancestry, although they have your family's names, I am not sure they are connected to your family. I think there are assumptions not supported by documentation.
Regards- Mary
Yes that was my thought Mary. Such a waste of time when connections are posted without sources.
Thanks for your time.
Frances
