Lockhart/Lockard/Lockhard/Lockherd
My 3x great-grandmother is listed as Lydia Ann Lockard (but the spelling of the last name varies). She was likely born in Dungannon, Co. Tyrone in 1834. She emigrated with her parents (John and Ellen or Helen Lockard) around 1845. In Canada (Innisfil, Simcoe, Ontario) on 08 Dec 1859she married Joseph Lockhard (or Lockard/Lockhart) who was also supposedly from Dungannon, Co. Tyrone. Joseph was born around 1837 and his parents were William Lockhard and Mae Dillon. Joseph emigrated to Canada around 1856. I've not been able to trace either family further back (were they related even before they were married?) and would love to know more about them. I'd like to locate their parish church (likely Church of Ireland) and find out where they lived prior to emigrating. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!
