Holmes Crawford Courtenay Lefroy from Tipperary and Dublin

Hi there,

Thank you very much for your query to Ireland Reaching Out. Could you please post your message on the County Antrim profile page here: http://www.irelandxo.com/group/county-antrim

The name Capt Thomas Courtenay has caught me eye. Have you tried checking military records for him? Perhaps you could start your research in the UK National Archives. Was he from Antrim or Tipperary? There might be records kept locally in a library or museum.

You should also look for a marriage record for George and Anne. Do you know what religion they were? Or what part of Dublin they were in?

Good luck in your research!

Kind regards,

Sinead Cooney
