Power and Mahony, Carrick on Suir, County Tipperary

Tipperary

My great great grandma was a member of the Power family, from Carrick on Suir) but I can't find any reference to her here.

Michael Mahony (sometimes called Michaelis)

1830-1906

Elizabeth Power. (sometimes called Elizabetha)

1830-

I have no other information other than Michael was a coach driver, and their daughter, Johanna Elizabeth Ann Mahony became my great grandmother.

She always longed to return to Ireland from England.

The file downloaded is a copy of my great grandmother's wedding at the parish church of Carrick on Suir

I would love to find some Irish relatives-I have found none!

Maggie,

There are many family trees on Ancestry dealing with this family. It's likely the posters of these trees are descendants of the family and may have info about Irish relatives. Good luck.

Sorry for the late reply, but I have only just seen this. Thank you so much for the information. I now have a full tree from that point onwards when they went to England.

I have found out that Johanna (my great grandmother) had at least 2 brothers christened at Carrick on Suir. I think they may have stayed in Ireland and I would like to find out more about them! They are called Thomas and Stephanus.
