McMahon's & Malone's

Tipperary

Is there a map showing Tithe Applotment Lands used in the 1824 Tax Survey specifically in GARRY KENNEDY MCMAHON DIVISION?

I believe my Philip Malone from there married a daughter of one of these McMahon families. Honora McMahon, John McMahon, William McMahon, Another John McMahon or Darby McMahon. According to the tax roll Philip lived in the middle of these McMahon families.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Kevin,

From Google AI...

Mapping Alternatives: Because standardized maps for the exact 1823–1838 tithe period are rare or non-existent for most areas, genealogists use later mid-19th-century maps to approximate locations:

    • Ordnance Survey Maps: Early 1st-edition Ordnance Survey maps (c. 1840s) can be viewed on platforms like GeoHive.
    • Griffith's Valuation: Conducted later (1847–1864), this survey does cross-reference specific plot numbers with mapping data, available via Ask About Ireland.
