Are you certain that Mary's surname was 'Congar' as it appears to be a place, there is a Congar graveyard in the townland of Cloughjordan which may be connected to  historical Congar House circa 1675.

This is the register entry for Margaret above and Mary's surname appears to be 'Cahillane' or similar, note sponsers name Anne underneath

Birth of Anne, note surname of Mary is Calahan  (spelling of names in this time were usually as they sounded so variations occured)

Dear Eileen:

I am completely overwhelmed by the information you are sharing with me. I never thought I would find more family members and you've just opened up a new dimension for me. Can you tell me if Jas is a shortcut for James and Jno is a shortcut for John? Also, is the baptism date considered their birth dates?

We know John Murphy immigrated to the States, how can I find out what happened to his siblings?

Thank you so much.

Maggie
