Baptismal Record attached

Hi,

Attached is a copy of Baptismal Record for my ancestor (Robert Ryan) who immigrated to Australia with his parents, Patrick and Jane, and five siblings - Patrick, Margaret, Catherine, Johanna, Mary. - in 1853.   This was obtained by my siblings on a visit to Ireland in 2000.

Patrick (father) and Jane's death certificates (1876 and 1877) both indicate that Patrick, Robert, Margaret and Johanna were living, and 3 males and 1 female were deceased at the time of their death.

Can you confirm::

the details of deceased female.  Was Anne deceased, or had chosen not to immigrate with the rest of the family in 1853 (she may have already been married).

the details of the three deceased males if possible

if the dates listed for Patrick and Robert are actual birth dates.   Immigration details, and parents death certificates, indicate Patrick was the oldest child.

birth dates for Margaret, Catherine, Johanna and Mary.

Pat,

Baptismal certificate for Robert did not come through. What was the year and date.

Do you know the year in which Patrick and Jane married?

Civil records in Ireland are from January 1st 1864, so your family had left Ireland by then.

You should contact the relevant parish for any record of Anne.

thank you so much for your reply. I will attempt to add a photo of the Baptism record search details.  But will also add them here fyi (in case).  This was a search done on 12 September 2000, when my brother and sister were visiting Ireland.   (Note: It appears to have been uploaded correctly)

21 October 1823   Name: Robert Ryan;  Father: Patrick Ryan;  Mother: Joan Smith;  Sponsors:  John O'Neill, Catherine O'Neill   Register: 1822/031

20 January 1826   Name: Patrick Ryan;  Father: Patrick Ryan;  Mother:  Joan Smith;  Sponsors: Denis Carew, Catherine Ryan.  Register: 1822/102.

 

The questions in my initial message are still valid.   Patrick, Jane, Patrick Margaret Robert, Johanna, Catherine and Mary emigrated from Liverpool on the Ship John Fielden arriving in Moreton Bay (Brisbane) on 11 June 1853.   Mother listed as 'Jane'.  In a previous message thread I was advised that her name was 'Janet'.   So, Joan, Jane, Janet  ???
