I found a marriage record for my 2 times great grandparents. Married Drangan Parish 11 Feb 1834, Laurence Vaughan and Magaret Riordon, Knockroe.

I couldn't find any birth records or any other records for either family. Would they have been born near there or did folks move around alot?

I would say that people did not move around much but it could be that the family set up and had children elsewhere. it was customary for Roman Catholic marriages to take place in the parish church of the bride.
