Searching for any family of Catherine Barragry (born in parish of Cappawhite, 13th December 1818)

TipperaryCappawhite (Tipperary)

I'm looking for any family members or relatives of the late Catherine Barragry who emigrated to Australia in 1841 and married my great-great-great grandfather, Robert Duncan.

Catherine Barragry was born on 13th December 1818 and we are unaware of when she died. We believe she left my ancester and remarried a man by the name of Kennedy and returned to Ireland.

Catherine's mother Margaret Higgins and her father was Michael Barragry. We believe that Catherine had one son; William Duncan.

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!

Very few Barragrys in Co. Tipperary. There was only one family in the 1901 census.

Here is a link to the online parish register for Cappawhite. http://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0252 Records start in 1816 so you may find Catherine's baptismal record.
