Conrahy Clonakenny

Bournea (Tipperary)

Hello from Australia

My forebear Denis Conrahy 1810-1895  married Margaret Whelan about 1835.

Denis's parents were Thomas Conrahy & Mary Treacy. Margaret's were Daniel Whelan & Mary Fogarty.

They had several children including my great grandfather Thomas Conroy in 1837. The family with the exception of Daniel Conroy immigrated to Moorabool area of Victoria about 1865. Denis's brother Thomas who married Judith (Johannah) Maher and family with the exception of sons Michael & Dennis also immigrated.

My Gedmatch number is HK5556201.

There is one Conrahy in Clonakenny in the Tithe Applotment Books. No date is given, but it was likely the 1820s or 1830s.

Conrahy Thomas Clonakenny Bourney Tipperary

There are also several Treacys listed.
