Martin MAHER b. Abt 1833

I have reviewed the Tip birth records I could find, and the only Martin Maher I could find whose age approximates my ancestor was the son of Thomas Maher and Mary White. I could not find a marriage record for them which would be helpful. There are several Martin Mahers and it seems many Thomas Mahers, so it feels very frustrating that I cant be sure about this line, or take it back further. Thomas and Mary had several children, but the only one of them I possibly find in the US near Martin is Margaret MAHER MALEY. Martin immigrated to the US no later than 1856, likely earlier, possibly on the Montezuma arriving in NY 16 JUN 1851. There are a handul of other Mahers on the same voyage, but they do not seem to fit with the family of Thomas and Mary. Also, as I have only seen a transcription of the passenger manifest I do not know if the Mahers were traveling together as a family. Just not sure where to go from him. I feel I have exhausted the records available to me in the US. Many thinks in advance.
