KIRBY / NOONAN FAMILIES OF ANNACARTY, CO. TIPPERARY

TipperaryAnnacarty Donohill (Tipperary)

My GG Grandmother, Agnes Ellen Kirby, was born about 1838 in Moheragh, Annacarty, County Tipperary. Her parents were John or James Kirby and Mary Kirby (nee Noonan). I have copies of the christening records of her siblings, James 1839, Patrick 1842 and Catherine 1845, but not Agnes' record. She emigrated to Melbourne, Australia from London, England in 1863. I would be very grateful for any information about my ancestor and the Kirby and Noonan families of Tipperary. Glynis. Email: glyncol2@hotmail.com

Glynis:

I checked Roots Ireland www.rootsireland.ie but they do not have records for the parish online. I have a resource book which indicates that reocrds for Annacarty church go back to 1821.

I found this web site for the parish. http://www.annacarty-donohill.com/

At the bottom of the page there is a Contact Us link. Send the parish an e-mail to see if they can assist with the baptismal record for Agnes.
