Looking for any information on the Kelly family from Tawnagh - especially John Kelly baptised June 1814. Parents are Patrick Kelly and Maria (Mary) Conlan. Siblings are (at least) Patrick, Maria & Thomas. John joined the R.I.C. in 1838, when he was 24, sponsored by Martin Dillon Manning a local JP.
Efal1,
The paid site, Roots Ireland, shows these details:
Marriage of Patrick & Maria on 8 Jul 1813, parish of Riverstown (Taunagh), sponsors were Thomas Conlon & Michael Kelly
Baptisms of their children : John, 23 Jun 1814, one sponsor was Michael Kelly
Patrick, 18 Jan 1816
Maria, 25 Aug 1817, one sponsor was Honoria Kelly
Thomas, 2 Feb 1821, one sponsor was Honora Conlan
Marriage witnesses and baptismal sponsors were often siblings, that is why I share this information.

Thank you for sharing
