William and Anthony Adams

Sligo

I am desperately searching for information on my family who emigrated from Cregg, Drumcliff, Sligo Ireland in 1847 and 1865. I have many records on wives and children but would very much like to find ancestors and Anthony's house in Sligo... it might be on Canal St.

William Adams 1774-1874 and Mary Barber

Anthony Adams 1814-1903 and Ann Monds then Robinson

Jane Adams 1815

Margaret Adams 1827

William Adams 1825

Thanks. I didn't know that they were married there. Adams is an English name so somewhere in history an Adams must have come from England.

Thanks. I have notes from my Grandparents that say that Anthony was a gamekeeper for Hon. John Wynne, worked at the soup kitchen during the Famine, and rowed supplies out to and from ships in Sligo Harbour. He stowed away on a ship and arrived in Canada 1847. He must have lived close to Ann Monds because he followed her and her family over to the U.S.

The Adams family originally came from Scotland or England prior to 1774. If anyone has any information on the Adams' that settled in Drumcliff, Sligo please share. Thamks.
