Patrick was born before civil registration (1864). I looked on Roots Ireland www.rootsireland.ie for baptismal records in Co. Sligo. There was an 1844 baptismal record for a Patrick Mulvaney in Sligo, however, the fathers name was not George and the mothers name was not Mary.
A number of RC parishes in Co. Sligo do not have records that start in 1845 or earlier. If he was baptized in one of those parishes , his baptismal record would not be available.
I looked on the Tithe listings and did not see his father George listed.
