McNulty's of Cloontia

Hi thanks for your message and interest in Ireland Reaching Out.

Perhaps the Roscommon Heritage and Genealogical Centre may be able to help you find more information. The contact information is:

Church Street,

Strokestown,

Co. Roscommon

Phone: (071)9633380    Email: info@roscommonroots.com

I could not find any contact details for the church in Derrinacarta. However if you are interested the contact detail for  Ballaghderreen Parish can be found at the following link:

http://www.achonrydiocese.org/index.php/parishes/roscommon/ballagh

I hope that this information helps. Remember to post as much information as you can with regard to the people you are researching. The more information you post, the more likely it is that one of our volunteers will be able to advise or assist you. Also include information concerning which sources you may have already used so others may further your search.

Please be patient - as our programme has only begun to rollout across the island of Ireland and volunteers in some areas may not yet be organized.

Kind regards,

In relation to your topic decemeber 2012, by chance i seen the name. I myself am a far out relation. (extremely far out)You still have some family living in the area. Ballaghaderreen although in Co. Roscommon, has Cloontia in its parish.(which is classified co. mayo, however most postal address need Co. Sligo). As far as i know there is still a man living in the house there, his brother and sister passed away within the last 8-10years or so. Hope this helps!

Also all above names you mentioned are in the area. They are indeed cousins of mcnultys. Tom passed away and his sister as i said within the last few years. Derrinacartha has the local church which people in the area of cloontia attend. Mcnultys are currently living in kilgariff to the best of my memory. All the best
