Thomas Elsood married Maria Delvany in the early 1800s. They had 6 children;

Anthony 1825

Willian 1835

Bridget 1839 who married Michael Noon and they had John Thomas 1851, Michael 1852, Anthony 1856 and John 1858 before emigrating to England

Kathrin 1834

Mariam 1831

Anna 1841

Any information about this Elwood/Devany family would be appreciated.

The Strokestown RC records start in 1830. I located baptismal records in Roots Ireland for Mary, Catherine, Brigid and Anne but could find no marriage record.

I checked the 1855 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for Lissonuffy civil parish and did not see a record for Thomas Elwood but there was a Michael Noone in Coggalfortyacres townland possibly your ancestor.

There were three Noon/Noone families in the 1901 census for Coggalfortyacres. Not sure how they are connected to Bridget and Michael. http://census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Roscommon/Cloonfinlough/Co…
