Colleen:
The records for Doora-Barefield parish are not online at this time. (They start in 1821).
The National Library plans to put all RC parish registers online for free searching in the summer of 2015.
I checked the Griffiths Valuation head of household for the three civil parishes in the area: Doora, Kilraghtis and Templemaley. There were no Griffy records but there were some Griffin records. Possibly the family name was Griffin?
You can check the Griffiths and other Co. Clare information at http://www.clarelibrary.ie/eolas/coclare/genealogy/genealog.htm
