Hi,
Thank you very much for your message, I hope that someone with a connection contacts you on the message board.
Have you checked the 1901/1911 census records to see if there was any Morris or Bodkins still in the area at the time? If not you can do so here:

Also, here are some other websites that you may find useful in your research:

Please be patient - as our programme has only begun to rollout across the island of Ireland and volunteers in some areas may not yet be organized.

Thomas Bodkin of Midgefield Strokestown Co. Roscommon was my great--great-grandfather born about 1856. https://www.ancestry.com/genealogy/records/thomas-j-bodkin-24-hkpclp
Perhaps Bridget Bodkin and Thomas Bodkin were related. Thomas' sons and daughter-in-law were still living on the family homestead in Midgefield well into the 20th c. https://www.askaboutireland.ie/griffith-valuation/index.xml?action=doNameSearch&Submit.x=39&Submit.y=20&familyname=Bodkin&firstname=First+Name&baronyname=&countyname=ROSCOMMON&unionname=&parishname=
My great-grandmother was Catherin 'Katie' Bodkin, Thomas and Katherine "Kate" Finnerty's daughter, who married Thomas O'Connor, eventually settling in Rhode Island. She died in 1944: 'O'CONNOR (BODKIN) [Providence RI Journal, Tuesday 17 October 1944] O'Connor, In Woonsocket, October 15, 1944, Katherine (Bodkin), wife of the late Police Captain Thomas M. O'Connor. Funeral from her late residence, 35 Greene Street, Thursday, October 19m at 8:45 a.m. Solemn high Mass of Requiem in St. Charles Church at 9:30. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.'
Their daughter, Irene, was my grandmother and married a Valacer. They lived in Millville, MA. Most of the descendants live in Mass or RI today. I live in the Hartford, CT area. If you can find a connection, that would be great. Considering that Strokestown is quite small, we are most likely related.
