Drurys from Boyle
I am continuing to research by Drury and Henry ancestors in Boyle, County Roscommon. My sister and I searched
the Assilyn Graveyard in Boyle in the summer of 2024 (returning this summer - 2026) and found a few Drury graves
but we aren't sure if they are our ancestors or not since I have only tracked down Bernard Drury and his parents and
the gravestones are later than Bernard.
I do have some sibling names but not much information.
My 3x great grandfather Bernard or Barney emigrated to the U.S. probably late 1820s. His parents were Martin
or Martino Drury and Brigitta or Bridget Henry both born late 1700s.
There are some fallen in graves/stones at Assilyn Cemetery as well and I'm wondering if those might be of his parents.
Does anyone have more information on this family?
Any help appreciated. Will be returning in a couple of weeks. Also, Barney sailed out of Sligo for America.
Would love to find records in Sligo on that.
