Thomas F Higins

Hi Brian,

Thank you very much for your message.

Can you provide any other information regarding the family that may help our volunteers? Do you know the name of any family that remained in Ireland after Thomas emigrated? Do you know of any occupations?

I did a search for Higgins in Balllintober in the 1901 census records, some results came back. You may want to look at the results for yourself here:

http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/search/results.jsp?census_year=1901&surname=Higgins&exact=&firstname=&county=Roscommon&townland=&ded=&age=&sex=&relationToHead=&religion=&education=&occupation=&marriageStatus=&marriageYears=&childrenBorn=&childrenLiving=&birthplace=&language=&deafdumb=&search=Search&sort=dedSort&pageSize=100&pager.offset=0

If some of the people listed are a part of your family, these records will be a good place to start the search for a property.

Hopefully, with a bit more information one of our volunteers may be able to offer you some advice or assistance.

Kind regards,
