Hi Elaine
I couldn't find any Skellys in Roscommon in the Irish phone book.
There are some in Roscommon in the Tithe Applotments in 1833 (free at http://titheapplotmentbooks.nationalarchives.ie/)

I couldn't find a Booth-Skelly marriage or Elaine's birth/baptism record from Roscommon on www.rootsireland.ie/
Griffiths Valuation (free at http://www.askaboutireland.ie/) has this one from 1857:
SKELLYCECELIA ROSCOMMON CLOONY GORMICAN Parish Kultultoge
Do you have any other names which might help in the search like Elaine's siblings.
