The attached photo is of the Parish Blacksmith - O'Rourke c 1925. Not sure of his first name but Jack Rourke then became the balcksmith so this photo is probably Jack's father.

P.S. Rourkes/O'Rourkes do no live in Newtown anymore but the house is still lived in. It was sold a few years ago when Mr Rourke died.

Found the marriage record of William Rourke and Catherine McAuley
They married in Rahan, in Killina R.C. Church on the 1st November 1896. Catherine was a Dressmaker

Thanks a million Geraldine for all your work,thats my family.My great grandfather moved to Kildare when he was a young man so we never knew anything about his sister Catherine(Kathleen).I presumed Catherine(McAuley)had passed away as William was down as a widower on his second marriage.
