Mckenna dumarun

MonaghanErrigal Trough (Monaghan)

Has anyone in the parish ever heard the nickname dumarun? My ggg grandfather pat mckenna was listed as pat mckenna dumarun in the tithe books. He had a plot in drumfurrer in 1826.

i know his grandson lived at derryrellan for a time in the 1903-1913 period but I believe my mckenna link in the parish dead now.

Hi,

Thank you for your message. I hope that someone from the parish who may know what this means contacts you. Please be patient - as our programme has only begun to rollout across the island of Ireland and volunteers in some areas may not yet be organized.

Kind regards,
