Hi Dara, I checked Griffith's Valuation of approx. 1854 and there are none in Oldcastle or Moylagh. There are three to Loughcrew: Bridget in Knocklough, Michael in Beleek and Michael in Knocklough. The records of these three should be in St. Brigid's indexes if there is any record still existing. Back then someone from Loughcrew would probably say they were from Oldcastle as it is the closest town.
Check the Census records for Ryan in Oldcastle, Loughcrew and Moylagh.
Contact St. Brigid's and ask for a copy of any entries to Ryan in the index book of Baptisms (Husband and wife family book index (parents and children): 1798-1955. This would have the children of James Ryan so you can research all the children.

3rd Son: named after the father
4th Son: named after the father?s brother
1st Daughter: named after the mother?s mother

4th Daughter: named after the mother?s sister
